Springtime in September...?

Scrapping lovely springtime photos in October when the rain outside is lashing down is such a warm and fuzzy thing to do.  Especially when the radiator next to you is burning hot :-)  Craft room is nice and toasty this evening.
Yet more thickers but in my defence I am also using some other alphas.  I am loving the Kaisercraft ones, not least because they're cheap enough to buy 2 packs at once....

Craft Fair...

...was pants.  As usual at these type of events, once we'd bought everything from all the other stalls, we were in negative equity on our own :-(  Fun though and I got some quality gossip time with my lil sis.  Some fabulous news as well - she found "the dress" for her wedding next May!!!  After weeks of searching we finally found the one. Needless to say it'll be showing up on a layout here some day but you may have to wait till after the wedding....

To cheer myself up I'm posting this little layout of him and her-self.

Bless x

Quality time

Today being my day off with Pinky we've played and played and played!  The play barn didn't know what had hit it.  I was so tired that as soon as Daddy walked in the door I went off for some "me" time and finished a layout that had been waiting for finishing touches for a long while.

This is one of my favourite pics and I am loving using the scraps off punched shapes as embellishments like the piece of black and white spotted waste here.  I also seem to be unable to stop doodling on layouts.  At first it was difficult to doodle and actually like the end result but now I can't seem to stop...

Off to card-making class now.  Thursday is soooooo my fun day :-)

Got some more layouts to post but will have to wait until tomorrow as I'm already late - again ;-)

Little jolly

There's nothing better than a little jolly with good friends and we're lucky to have friends who enjoy little jollies with us.  We recently got back from a week away at Centerparcs, Longleat where we had unseasonably good weather and nice light which gave me a bit of practice time with my new camera - oooooo :-) - which I am loving.

Couldn't resist these little piggies at Frampton where we stopped for a yummy lunch on the way down.

The same evening the view from the lake was beyond lovely.  Who'd have thought it'd be warm enough in the evening for wandering round outside in our t-shirts exploring.  Miss Pink even wanted to go for a swim...

After returning from the 'Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show' at the Ally Pally (well worth a visit as long as you have secured a small mortgage with which to purchase "necessities" - ahem) a mere 10 days ago it's been craft madness round here!  We fell in love with a stand demonstrating and selling decopatch supplies.  Basically decopatch involves using a special glue, very much like old school pva, to stick small pieces of special, very pretty tissue paper to stuff.  Apparently any stuff will do - wood, metal, glass etc.  My first finished article was this J - which I'm unsure about in the flesh...

..but my next few attempts were better...

Beautiful little Russian doll tealight holders which I'm planning to sell on Saturday at a local craft fair to raise funds for more tissue paper :-)
