Why do I Scrapbook?

This weekend I've been blog hopping and found this challenge on the very talented Emilie Chamel's blog http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/blog/scrapbooking/july-2012-challenge/

This got me thinking about wht I actually do scrapbook and when I sat down to it I found enough inspiration for at least 2 layouts and could probably have written more as I kept thinking of things I'd forgotten! It also made me think about how similar many of our reasons for scrapbooking generally are (preserving memories, creating etc.) and yet how differently we approach the challenge of getting the scrapping done...  For myself, I only really scrap when I'm in the mood which technically means that however good my intentions are about preserving memories and writing things down for future generations in actual fact I only scrap little bits and bobs but hey - I enjoy it ;-)

Layout number one - first time I've used Simple Stories paper and gosh it's lovely stuff :-)

And sticking with the Simple Stories paper for my 2nd layout (it's just too lovely to put back in the box!!) here's a bit more of why I scrap :-)

Thank you all for looking.  Happy scrapping
